Welcome to jocks cavern

Jocks Cavern is named after a local mining legend Jack Atkinson. Jock was a big grafter but was also a family man with a big heart. Jock was known to enjoy a drink after a tough shift and would wind down occasionally with a tot of Jack Daniels but more favourably with a glass of Glayva liqueur. Jock never did get round to opening his last bottle of Glayva that he bought & it has remained un opened for over 20 years. It is now standing proudly on display in the cavern as a testimony to this highly admired local icon.
